  1. Using the word “phenomenon” in every day conversation is a sure sign that deine Frau has exceeded the recommended higher-education dosage. But I guess it’s kind of reassuring to know that there some Great Universal Truths — like the fact that academics in Germany tend but just as dorky as the local variety. (With all due respect to my academic friends, of course.) Thanks for the laugh.
