Faced with having to order German textbooks while working on her doctorate in the United States, my wife was disappointed by the expensive prices and overseas shipping fees involved.

  1. I haven’t heard of renting text books. Always had to buy mine. Half.com is a good way to find textbooks and the shipping is usually cheap, but I don’t know how many people would have the books available in German.
